About Solid State Relay

A Solid State Relay (SSR) is an electronic switching device that controls high-power AC or DC loads using a low-voltage input signal, operating entirely via semiconductor components rather than mechanical parts. It offers faster switching speeds, higher reliability, longer lifespans, and silent operation compared to traditional electromagnetic relays.

Key Characteristics & Working Principle:

No Moving Parts: Because SSRs use semiconductors (like MOSFETs, IGBTs, or TRIACs) instead of physical contacts, they avoid wear and tear.
Input/Output Isolation:
They use optocouplers (LED + phototransistor) to isolate the low-voltage control circuit from the high-voltage load circuit, ensuring safety.
